Herold Solingen 155 Duo Strop Paste. Traditional honing paste for leather strops. Black and red paste (2 pieces). The Herold – Solingen Pastes are soft and buttery. They spread onto a strop surface with ease. Simply rub the stick on the surface like a crayon. These sticks will be all you need for quite some time.

Using them will help you maintain a shave ready razor longer without needing to break out the sharpening stones as often.

Red Paste:

Red Sharpening Rouge has good sharpening ability, will refresh a mildly dull blade and should not be used more than once a month.

Black Paste:

Black Stropping Rouge is more waxy with less cutting power, it leaves a mirror finish, is intended as a final abrasive before finishing on leather and can be used every second day of stropping if desired.

For medium to fine sharpening. Perfect for trained users and requires a separate strop from the everyday one. This paste should be applied with a cotton cloth.

Using just the weight of the razor and a quick stroke action do 20 to 50 passes on each side keeping the blade flat on the strop and rolling or flipping the blade over on its spine not the cutting edge with each pass.

Do not mix the pastes on the leather. For best results use separate leather for separate honing pastes.
