First thing I needed to do was take clove out of the recipe. There is Absolutely NO REASON for clove to be in a Bay Rum aftershave.

In researching why clove was so often used I was brought back to rum making. In traditional Spiced Rum, clove as well as many other spices were/are used. Naturally when combining Bay and Rum in early traditional recipes clove would end up in the blend by default…it was infused the rum that was used! So for that, you will find zero clove in Atomic Age Bay Rum.

Next is addition of Flower Water. Is a byproduct of the distillation process of procuring Bay Essential oil (Pimenta Racemosa).
