The handle, expertly turned and worked, is made of faux horn, making this brush a true jewel of design.

Simpson & Co established in 1919 are regarded as makers of the world’s finest shaving brushes. Using techniques that have not changed since the company first started. Each handle is hand turned in a lathe then polished.

Today Simpson shaving brushes and associated products are manufactured by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Limited on the historic Isle of Man.

The brush is filled with Pure Badger Hair.

The badger hair is hand selected, weighed and tied by a skilled craftsman who then carefully glues the knot to the handle. The handle is then stamped with the name of the brush.

Note: When preparing the shaving brush for shaving, soak only the hair in hot water, the handle must be kept out of the water. By not soaking the whole brush in the water you prolong the life of the shaving brush.

The correct water temperature should be one that allows you to immerse your hand without scalding it excessively. Too much heat could irreversibly damage the hair.
